VACATION!!

Hurrah!!!

Today is my first day of vacation! I don't have to go back to school until January 2nd. I can finally relax. I have so much that I want to do. Corey told me to make a list of things I want to get done over break so here I go...

*First, I need to write out some thank yous to all of my students and their families for the wonderful gifts. The floor of my craft room is covered with bags, tissue and some interesting gifts. :) I will definatly use all of the gift cards. I gathered up all of my Barnes and Noble gift cards and made a list of books that I would love to get. For One More Day by Mitch Albom, Guardian, Three Weeks with My Brother, Dear John, and The Rescue, all by Nicholas Sparks.

*Of course there's always cleaning...I do this everytime I'm bored. But being bored sometimes is what I will love during my vacation. I need it.

*I want to reorganize my Wizard of Oz craft room. I bought a Cricut machine, from Michaels, for my cardmaking. It's AWESOME! I look forward to using it and creating some unique cards.

*I'll need to get myself prepared for the "new year", so I know one time this week I'll be spending my time in my classroom. I have a January newsletter and school reminders to type up, bulletin boards and a calendar to change, and get paper work ready for two new children that will start when I get back.

*I would love to take one day and sit and watch movies. I'm hoping for a snow day.

*Corey and I hope to have one day off together. He's slowing down at work so there's a chance. We'd love to take a day, in the middle of the week, and drive!!! We find some interesting things to do when we just drive to a new place.

*Having all this time off will be a good way for me to update my Blog.

*I want to visit my sister, Stefanie, and check out her daycare set up and see all of her kids.

*I'll have to shop of course, how else will I use up those gift cards I have!

*I need to start looking for new teaching positions opening for next fall. I need to find something with good benefits. Thank goodness for the internet...it helps. I suppose I better update my resume too.

*I would love to take this vacation time to finally get going on my wedding scrapbook. I have all of the pieces / pictures, it's just taken me awhile to get started.

I know that there's more I want to do, but I'm looking at my list hoping that I can get some of this done. Good luck to me. Happy Vacation!
