It's been awhile...

WOW! I haven't updated my blog in awhile and now that I have some time this evening I think I need to update this for those who like to read about what I've been up to...

I'm only a few weeks into the new school year and I'm loving everything about the new school I'm at. I've been working at Primrose School of Savage since June and they've already given me a promotion and made me "the apple of our eye" (employee of the month) for October. I really feel that I fit in here. I work side-by-side with one of the best teachers I've ever worked with and I couldn't be more happy about my decision to work at this school for awhile.

My hair is starting to grow long and at times I feel like cutting it all off. I'm being as patient as I can be and hopefully by the end of this year I'll have my hair like I want it...what that style is exactly I'm still trying to figure out.

I'm taking a new journey with my faith...I'm a Living Water Guide (5th grade confirmation leader) for a group of six girls at our church. I've been to lots of (pointless) training classes this last month and finally I was able to start our first group night this past Wednesday. I had so much fun! Honestly, I can't remember that last time I thought church was fun. I have an interesting group of 5th grade girls...I think they're really going to keep me updated with technology, fashion, and the latest gossip. ;)

I have been showing off pictures of my new little nephew to everyone I see. My sister Stefanie had a baby boy, Parker, at the end of August. I am so excited to be an Aunt. I am so proud of my sister and Brian...they have created one of the cutest and well-mannered babies ever!

Corey and I will be celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary on Monday, October 1st. I can't believe how fast time flies. I am truly grateful for having such a wonderful marriage.

My 'little' sister, Natalie, turned 21 yesterday. I feel so old!! She has really grown into a beautiful little lady.

Corey's brother, Nick, also closed on his first house yesterday. We are so proud of him!! He has accomplished so much in his life already...I guess he learned 'what to do' and 'what not to do' from his older brothers.

Corey and I are getting ready for a major kitchen remodel at our house. Corey has been hard at work doing side jobs for different people the past three weekends. At one of his side jobs there was a trade made...Corey helped install a 700 sq.ft. wood floor for a guy and in return he's paying Corey back by remodeling our entire kitchen. We're excited to get new 'custom' cabinets and a new counter top. Since we're completely tearing everything out we've decided now is the time to redo the wood floors. We should be starting this major remodel next month. We can only hope that this new kitchen will help sell our townhouse in the future.

Summit, our chocolate lab, is just as cute as ever. She's now 8 months old. She's grown so much that I tend to forget what she looked like as an 8lb. puppy. I enjoy taking my daily walks with her. Corey and I are hoping to enroll her in some more training classes. I have to keep reminding myself that she's a puppy...sometimes she can be a little too exciting!! :)

Needless to say...I have been sooooo happy in the last six months. My life is good.
