One Week...

...until my December 9th due date!

I'm sitting here, not able to sleep, knowing that it's God's way of preparing me for when Baby arrives and my sleep will be limited. :)

I can't believe Corey and I are a week away from meeting our little guy. At least I'm hoping he arrives sooner than later.

Our lives are going to change forever! Summit will just be the "Dog", our house will no longer stay clean and organized, we'll have to learn to watch other shows besides Jeopardy and CSI, we'll be hearing constant Baby noises instead of silence and....I wouldn't change it for anything!

Corey and I have waited long enough for the arrival of our first child. I could not be more excited!!!!

All I Want For Christmas...

...is Baby Brower.

At least I know he'll be here before Christmas. What a GREAT gift...a blessing, really.

"Babymoon"

Corey and I spent a long weekend together and headed up to Duluth to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary and have some "quiet" time before Baby Brower arrives. We stayed at Jay Cooke State Park and did a little camping. :) The weather was beautiful during the day...the sun was shining and the weather was cool. On the other hand, at night it got a little chilly. Brrrr...

We had some nice short hikes around the State Park and could not get enough of the beauty of the Fall colors. The best view we found was from the top of Spirit Mountain. We also walked around Duluth and watched an iron ore ship come in to port.

It was a simple, fun, and beautiful weekend.

I can not get over how fast five years of marriage went for us. I'm amazed everyday at how blessed we are to be adding to our family. Summit was lucky enough to join us for our anniversary trip this weekend and we laughed about how she has no idea what's in store for her in the next couple of months. She's officially going to be just the dog...and Baby is just going to love her!

Dear Baby...

Although I cannot see you,

I still know your are there.

You are warm and snug inside me,

and require gentle care.

Although I cannot hold you,

or give you a hug goodnight.

I feel you move inside me

and know that you are alright.

Although I cannot kiss you,

or show you how I feel.

I know you share my feelings

and that our bond is real.

.....you are with me all the time

and always on my mind.

Already I have fallen in love

with my precious gift from up above.

Quote of the Day

"Sometimes", said Pooh, "the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

Baby Update...

I have the washing machine running today with a load of baby clothes inside. It's slowly sinking in...the reality of Corey and I adding to our family.
I have been so fortunate to get bags/ boxes of hand-me-down clothes from many people. I'm having fun organizing the Baby's room and closet. :)

The past few days have been funny! The baby is doing acrobatics in my tummy and I'm amazed at how much he's making my belly move and stretch. Every time I "see" my belly move it makes me laugh.

I have read many baby books, but seem to be taking a break from them at the moment due to feeling overwhelmed about everything. Corey and I are registered for a Baby/ Parenting class through our hospital that we'll attend in October...should be fun!

The first weekend in October we will be camping and celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary as well as having a little "Babymoon." I can't wait to spend time with just Corey and Summit...only a few more months and our lives will change...for the better.

My next appointment is on the 21st (@ 28 1/2 weeks). I'm still feeling well and have been so blessed to have such a great pregnancy so far.

24 1/2 weeks!

We had our 24 week appointment today and everything is looking good. It's such a relief to hear that everything is going well during the appointments. I'm still feeling well, but have noticed my body can not work as hard or as long as it use to in a single day. I get tired and out of breath easily.

Corey and I did some shopping at the Outlet Mall this weekend and had fun picking out a couple new outfits. I ended up buying a little Christmas outfit too! Hehehehe. It's so cute.

I'm at the point in my pregnancy where I'm getting a little anxious. I can't wait for maternity leave and some much awaited "family" time with Baby and Corey. Believe it or not, I don't have a clue on what I want to do with the baby room. The only thing we've narrowed down is the stroller we like. We have yet to find a decent crib and have had trouble finding one. I'm thinking once we purchase that I can focus on bedding and room colors. :)

I'll have to post some new belly pictures soon. My belly has definitely grown quite a bit! Many kids at school love greeting my baby belly in the morning...it's cute.

22 weeks!

Preparing for Baby...

I think now that I've had my official 21 week appointment and got to "see" the little one, everything about Baby Brower is sinking in. I can't stop looking at the ultrasound pictures and I am amazed at this baby boy growing inside of me. This weekend, Corey and I discussed baby plans and had fun shopping (just looking and getting prices)for baby items.

I'm enjoying feeling the movements inside my belly and was SUPER EXCITED when Corey felt a couple twitches last night! This is a wonderful blessing!

I'm feeling good and am glad to be well past the point of nausea. As my doctor told me last week, "Enjoy this baby honeymoon phase of pregnancy"...and that I am!

Last Monday, August 2nd, we were told we were having a boy! He's 1 lb. 1 oz. and growing! We have narrowed down a name and can't wait to share it with everyone when he's born.

Quote of the Day

"This little tiny baby
Was sent from God above
To fill our hearts with happiness
And touch our lives with love,

He must have known
We'd give our all
And always do our best
To give our precious baby love
And be grateful and so blessed."

Miracle Baby...

I cannot feel you yet
But I know that you are here
Your heart has formed
And is beating strong
I am feeling no fear

I am happy and excited
I feel the whole world knows
That your body is changing
You have arms and legs
Tiny fingers and tiny toes

Your skin is turning pink
your body is growing hair
With eyelashes and eyebrows
Your soft baby skin
Is no longer pale or bare

You have wrinkled skin
And your eyes are opened wide
I'm getting very impatient,
nervous, excited and scared
My emotions I can not hide

Are you going to come early
Are you going to come late
I am ready to hold you,
comfort you, take care of you
But for now I can only wait...

Quote of the Day

I read this quote somewhere and fell in love with it...I plan on making a sign with this quote on it and hanging it in our baby's room!

"A baby is a bit of stardust blown from the hand of God."
