Many of you may now know that Corey and I have been looking at getting a dog.
Well...we found one!
Ironically, Corey works with a guy who just bread his dog. A litter of 7 Chocolate Labs!! On Tuesday, Zack (the dog breeder) brought the two available females to our house for us to take a look. One of the females was the "runt" of the litter. Very cute and well behaved. The other was cute, of course, and a little active. They had just woke up from a nap and a were a little confused about where they were. We agreed to meet with him on Saturday to view the litter, the parents, and get a better look at the two females personalities.
On Saturday we had over an hour of fun with a few of the chocolate lab puppies. We found out that the "runt" of the litter was already taken so we focused our attention on the last female available. She is sooooo cute and very playful. We both fell in love with her. She's a beautiful dark chocolate color. The puppies get their 8 week shots in a few days and they'll be ready to take home on Friday, March 9th. We decided that we'd love to have one and will pick her up this coming Friday!!
Her name...Summit. :)

Yeah! We're sooo excited!
Yes she's named after the beer, but also after Pikes Peak in Colorado...on our honeymoon we took a cog train ride to the "Summit" of Pikes Peak...it was our favorite part of the honeymoon. So the name "Summit" has two meanings...how sweet.
Yippee skippy!!!! You will LOVE having a dog!!!! Ruffles is excited to have a new friend. We'll need to get them together sometime. We are sooooooooooooo excited for you. :)
