A Sweet Reward!

A thoughtful thank you gift...

I received these flowers from one of my students today as a "end of the year" and "thank you for being my teacher" gift. Just something as simple as this made my day. Of course the flowers are bright red, gerbera daisies...my favorite! I either talk about my favorite color too much or my kids actually listen to me when I'm talking. :)

These little gifts are so awesome for a teacher to receive. I've received other flowers already this week as well as some AWESOME homemade Baily's Irish Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies. (Recipe included!!)

My last day at the Shakopee school is this Friday the 25th. I'm really sad because I will miss the bond I have with this group of kids and their parents, but I'm ready for the next chapter of my career.

I've been a little tense lately (no cold sores yet, jinx)...waiting for that "perfect" job opening, but I haven't given up hope. I have one good opportunity for me next week...I'll keep everyone in suspense until I find out more and everything goes well.

Until then...I continue to count down...6 "school" days to go...
