We started our weekend on a sad note. Corey's family had to put their dog, Misty, to sleep. They've had the dog for over 12 years and she had heart problems...so it was time to say goodbye.
We also said our final goodbye to Corey's cousin Eric. He left on Sunday for Iraq. He will be missed. Corey and I will have to try our best to be supportive for the family he left behind until he returns. I think I'll have to plan a few bbq's and slumber parties for the kids. :)
Saturday...
I finally got started on my wedding scrapbook! I sorted through all of our wedding memorabilia and managed to organize my pictures. Corey and I picked up a new HP photosmart printer, scanner and copier. Having this thing has made it so much easier to get going on this scrapbook.
My aunt Lorie had her 40th b-day party at the Hunter's Lodge at the Horse and Hunt Club this weekend. At first I was a little hesitant on going but I ended up having a great time. Corey, my uncle Val and I ended up bartending most of the night. It was fun! I made a couple a great Brandy Manhattans...according to my grandma. :) This was the first party that I was invited to as an adult! I am the oldest grandchild on this side of the family and I have 20 younger cousins. Lorie invited only those who were of age to drink...it was the first time that I felt the youngest instead of the oldest! Thanks Lorie!
Sunday...
We spent some of the day at Barnes and Noble. Corey and I love to hit up the magazine section. He finds ideas in the wood working mags. while I search for ideas in the crafts section.
Of course we took our weekly Sunday drive. This time it was a drive in Mpls. I love driving around the area lakes. (Hey Pete and Anne...we drove by your new place...pretty sweet!)
Todd and Jackie stopped by to show off their new ride...an '03 Ford Explorer. Nice find guys!
We spent the rest of the evening using up our ink cartridges on our new printer making copies of our favorite pictures.
I was a little disappointed when I realized I missed the season premire of the "All Stars" Amazing Race. I wish they never switched the show to Sunday. Oh Well.I'm ready for another week of "school" fun!
