A hard week...

Just when I thought teaching was going well and I loved my new school it took a turn for the worse this week. Well, loving my new school is still true; it's the teaching to make everyone happy that's the hard part. My co-teacher and I had two conferences this week and another one is scheduled for next week. The conferences have been mostly complaints about us (as a whole school) not doing enough. We're supposed to bend over backwards for some of these parents and kiss more asses I guess. From a parent stand point I can see why they want more...they are paying $1200 per month for their kids to attend this school. There's just not enough time in the day to do everything that is requested. I'm exhausted! To make a long story short...private schools can be a b*tch to work in.

Corey treated me to Applebee's last night where I consumed one too many margaritas. I even ran into my boss, which was actually quite pleasant considering she's struggling with making all of these parents happy as well, she ordered me a tequila shot and it was brought to my table. She told me I deserve to relax after a hard week. It's nice to have support, and tequila, after this week.

Teaching is hard work, and for those of you who may think it's lazy and all we do is read out of a curriculum book I'd like to challenge you to one day of school in the life of Ms. Brower. :)
